## The family pays in the office (cash, card, Bizum or transfer)

1. Go to **Payments** (the **Outstanding** tab) and find the family.
2. Click **Pay** on their row.

   ![Step 2: the Pay button](https://310662894-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtfEXMFEU0mFg84Ri6hx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-638291d6415f47d956bdab4a382981d6903a65a2%2Fpayments-pay-btn.png?alt=media)
3. Check the amount, choose the method (**Cash**, **Card**, **Transfer** or **Bizum**) and click **Record €…** (the button shows the amount).

   ![Step 3: recording the payment](https://310662894-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtfEXMFEU0mFg84Ri6hx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-58655edf7b7f246bf64d78bb20a47f16fe1c50dc%2Fpayments-pay.png?alt=media)

The payment is applied to the oldest charges first.

{% endhint %}

## The family pays from home (payment link)

1. In **Payments › Outstanding**, click **Send** on the family's row.

   ![Step 1: the Send button](https://310662894-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtfEXMFEU0mFg84Ri6hx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-df40beb1ea4e5bcc0407114c06522428b74fb505%2Fpayments-send-btn.png?alt=media)
2. Check what will be sent and email it. You can also call or send a WhatsApp from here.

   ![Step 2: sending the link](https://310662894-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtfEXMFEU0mFg84Ri6hx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-35d9ce1944cb615c6cae385ba33590daa51514d2%2Fpayments-send.png?alt=media)
3. The family gets the link and pays by card or Bizum. When they pay, the payment is recorded on its own and their status updates. You'll see it in **Payment links**.

   ![Step 3: the links' status](https://310662894-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtfEXMFEU0mFg84Ri6hx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c77ad67e36707d003ca3a61420e5c5cb2d4c93ef%2Fpayments-links.png?alt=media)

{% hint style="warning" %}
Creating a new link cancels the previous one that was still pending, so the family can't pay twice.
{% endhint %}

## The family doesn't pay

1. Call or message the family and log it with the notes button (🗒) on their row: call, WhatsApp, email, in person or just a note.

   ![Step 1: logging a contact](https://310662894-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUtfEXMFEU0mFg84Ri6hx%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e9946f433564230d8c233ab49ef754fc7db43a4f%2Fpayments-note.png?alt=media)
2. Once 7 days have passed since it was due, the debt shows as **Overdue** in the Academy and the Calendar.
3. Families with debt also show in **Dashboard › Clients with debt**.

## Checking the family's account

To see everything they've been charged and what they've paid, open their account:

## If someone paid by bank transfer

Transfers come in with the bank. In **Finance › Reconciliation › Family transfers** the CRM finds them and marks them paid. The ones it isn't sure about stay under **Check by hand** for you to review.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.echevarrisports.com/guia/en/step-by-step/cobrar-a-una-familia.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
